About Bullar Tree Kennels and Cattery

Bullar Trees is owned by Yvonne and John Featherstone.

Yvonne is our Kennel and Cattery Manager and has lived with and owned animals all her life. She has a passion for animal behaviour and is constantly researching the different breeds of dogs that she comes into contact with. Most recently, Yvonne was employed at The Meadows Pet Resort in York, Pennsylvania. Here she came into contact with all breeds and sizes of dogs and cats and also small animals, such as rabbits, guinea pigs, etc. She also worked at a re-homing centre, dealing with aggressive, neglected and abused animals. Yvonne has also dealt with nervous animals, old & infirm animals, blind animals, deaf animals and those with allergies.

John manages the administration side of the business, as well as working as kennel assistant. An accountant by profession, he became step-father to Yvonne’s German Shepherd-cross-Collie, Ozrik, when they met in 1997. Since then John has shared his wife’s passion for animals of all shapes and sizes and they now have three dogs and two sons.

Bullar Tree Kennels and Cattery is licensed by The Forest of Dean District Council to board up to 14 cats and 40 dogs. We are fully insured for public and employers’ liability and also provide veterinary cover, up to £300 for any conditions or injury arising during boarding or within 72 hours of departure.
